Lambda Sigma Chapter — Greater Atlanta, Georgia

A Message from Our President
On behalf of the Lambda Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., welcome. For over five decades, our brothers have stood as steady pillars of civic life in Greater Atlanta — not as men who merely belong to an organization, but as men who live its principles every single day.
Phi Beta Sigma was founded on a simple but enduring idea: that brotherhood is not an end in itself, but the means by which we serve. We do not exist for ourselves. We exist for our communities, our families, and the generations who will inherit the world we shape together.
Whether you are an undergraduate student seeking brotherhood, a graduate brother looking to reconnect, or a community partner exploring collaboration — you are welcome here. Come serve with us.
Our Heritage
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was founded on January 9, 1914, at Howard University in Washington, D.C. by A. Langston Taylor, Leonard F. Morse, and Charles I. Brown — three young men who believed that a fraternity should not merely celebrate itself, but exist as a positive force in the lives of people beyond its membership.
The Lambda Sigma Chapter was chartered in Atlanta in 1972, planting roots in one of America's most historically significant cities. In the decades since, our brothers have built scholarship funds, launched youth mentorship programs, and partnered with community organizations across metro Atlanta to drive measurable change. We carry that legacy forward with pride, urgency, and gratitude.

National Programs
Sigma's national programs are not symbolic — they are operational. Each initiative addresses a real and specific gap in our communities.
Economic Empowerment
Phi Beta Sigma has championed Black entrepreneurship since 1924. Our chapter connects small-business owners with workshops, mentors, and access to capital networks across the Atlanta metro area.
Academic Excellence
We believe the path to lasting change runs through the classroom. Brothers tutor K–12 students, lead STEM workshops, and award annual scholarships to graduating seniors in the Atlanta community.
Civic Advocacy
From voter registration drives to public-health outreach, Social Action is Sigma's commitment to civic engagement. We mobilize communities to exercise their voice and secure their rights.
Youth Development
The Sigma Beta Club prepares the next generation — providing young men in middle and high school with mentorship, leadership training, and a brotherhood that holds them to the highest standard.

Scholarship & Philanthropy
The Lambda Sigma Educational Foundation provides annual scholarships to graduating seniors from metro Atlanta high schools who demonstrate academic achievement, community service, and financial need. Since 1988, we have awarded more than $148,000 in scholarships to 112 young men and women whose potential simply needed a door opened.
Your gift funds more than a check — it funds a future. Every dollar donated to the Lambda Sigma Educational Foundation goes directly to student scholarships and program support, with full transparency in our annual stewardship report.
