A Message from Our President

Brothers in Service,
Leaders in Community

On behalf of the Lambda Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., welcome. For over five decades, our brothers have stood as steady pillars of civic life in Greater Atlanta — not as men who merely belong to an organization, but as men who live its principles every single day.

Phi Beta Sigma was founded on a simple but enduring idea: that brotherhood is not an end in itself, but the means by which we serve. We do not exist for ourselves. We exist for our communities, our families, and the generations who will inherit the world we shape together.

Whether you are an undergraduate student seeking brotherhood, a graduate brother looking to reconnect, or a community partner exploring collaboration — you are welcome here. Come serve with us.

Our Heritage

Founded 1914.
A Century of Civic Purpose.

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was founded on January 9, 1914, at Howard University in Washington, D.C. by A. Langston Taylor, Leonard F. Morse, and Charles I. Brown — three young men who believed that a fraternity should not merely celebrate itself, but exist as a positive force in the lives of people beyond its membership.

The Lambda Sigma Chapter was chartered in Atlanta in 1972, planting roots in one of America's most historically significant cities. In the decades since, our brothers have built scholarship funds, launched youth mentorship programs, and partnered with community organizations across metro Atlanta to drive measurable change. We carry that legacy forward with pride, urgency, and gratitude.
