Welcome to
Epsilon Theta

Sisters, sorors, and future members — welcome home. Sigma Gamma Rho has stood as a beacon of service and scholarship since 1922, and right here in Indianapolis, our Epsilon Theta Chapter carries that proud legacy forward every single day.

We are women of purpose. We show up in classrooms, community centers, hospital waiting rooms, and city halls — because Greater Service, Greater Progress is not simply our motto. It is the way we live.

Whether you are a prospective member curious about intake, a soror seeking reclamation, or a community partner looking to collaborate — we are glad you found us. Reach out, come to an event, and experience the warmth of the Sigma Women firsthand.

Founded on Faith,
Built on Service

On November 12, 1922, seven young women at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, founded Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. — the only Divine Nine organization born in the Midwest. Those founding seven believed that community service was not an obligation but a calling.

The Epsilon Theta Chapter was chartered with that same fire. For decades, our sorors have served the Indianapolis metropolitan area through youth mentorship, health advocacy, educational outreach, and economic empowerment. We are proud daughters of the city where this sorority was born.
